Tradition: Ladder Climbing & New Year Resolutions
January 5, 2008
Height: approx 4 meters off the ground.
Challenge:
Climb the ladder. Go into the bathroom through the tiny window. Search for the lucky sox. Then, another satisfy customer! (Thank you got coming!)
The story behind the stunt:
Once upon a time, a sleppy princess went to the bathroom. She brought her luckiest pair of sox with her and put it near the sink. Afraid that the witches would’ve come after her precious sox that said to have magical power, she had this reflex of twisting the lock before closing the door. Suddenly, she realized she has forgotten her mirror in her room. She stepped back out, and closed the bathroom door behind. Swiftly, she ran and got her mirror. She went back to the bathroom but then, realized she was locked out!
The princess cried, “nooo!!!! my sox!! The witches will get it before me”.
Luckily, she wasn’t just a princess. She was also a thinker and an athlete. She got an idea. She remembered that the bathroom window was open. So, she hunt for a ladder. Eureka! she found one of the porch.
“No need for a prince for this, I could do it myself!” thought the Princess.
The princess grabbed the ladder and carried it. She Walked around the castle to get to the bathroom. Seeing the window was far above, she extended the ladder.
A steward insisted to help, but the princess refused, “No! I can do it my own! You just hold the ladder when I’m going up there!” The princess placed the ladder right below the window. She climbed as one steward hold on to the ladder tightly.
Luckily, it was already the modern era, so the princess wore pants, don’t need to worry the steward peeking on her underwear. The princess climbed and climbed. She was elevated above 3 and half meter. She tried to widened the window. Then, she tried to hop on through the gap.
“Oh noo!” She screamed, “I don’t fit!” She knew she couldn’t do it. She slowly descended from the ladder and looking down. “Glupp” “Omg! It’s scary!” and that’s the time the Princess realized she was scared of height. She didnt dare herself to go back up. Given up, she phones all the princes she knew to help her to get her lucky sox.
It turned out. Her housemate, Lady of Earth, came home from work. She saw all the none sense and said, “Alright what’s going on here? What’s wrong with the window?”
“Nothing is wrong with the window,” said princess RoyalDutch, “It’s just me. I left my lucky sox in it after i realized i was locked out the bathroom”
“What?!?!?!?! You’ve left in their!!! The sox that I gave to you for your birthday?!?” exclaimed Lady, “Oh no you better get it, Nevermind I’ll get it! Hold on the ladder.. don’t let me fall or else you better catch me”
and soo Lady of Earth climbed the ladder courageously. She made herway through the window. Then, princess heard the tumbling and crashing from outside. the Princess ran into the castle, ran to the bathroom to see if Lady was okay.
Puff!!!! was the sound that came from the bathroom. The princess only saw her lucky sox on the ground, no sight of Lady.
Thankful yet sad… Lady of Earth had sacrificed her life for her. The princess wanted to honor Lady of Earth. She made a tradition of ladder climbing in every beginning year at winton castle’s second floor bathroom in memory of her.
And she promised herself to lose weight that year so she’ll fit through the window, understanding the pain and misery that Lady had gone through.
Prologue - Well actually, what the princess did after the lost.

Speaking of resolution, I believe so far I have two for 2008
1. Lose the habit of dot dot dot while chatting online Like (…) [inside joke, now I should note to myself: No dots when speaking to Iman]
2. Lose waist line so I can make my way through the window just in case I make another foolish ‘locking out myself out of a room’
- see you later
It’s in My head
January 3, 2008
Just last night, I wasn’t able to sleep. I was distracted by the light and the noises coming form the living room. Then deeply, I realize. It was not my surroundings. It was me.
The same person, the same words, the same situation is in my head everysince. It triggered my anger and sadness. I was close to nothing to whatever the person have said or choosen.
I was extremely disappointed that you didn’t know what happen to me. I don’t you bother to ask what happened. It was so small that it hurted.
Because I had expectations of this person.
What does it worth?… nothing
I’ve lost one. Now, I might lose another one.
but then, I’ve also thought
Genuine and honest opinions will be found from people that has different interests. Yes, It’s about other people. The ones you have ignored and forgotten. Even by making up the little time, they are worth your time and love.
You said you’re worth my time, but I don’t think you’re close to that.
