When he can, why can’t I
January 19, 2008
After waking up this morning with a sore throat, I spent my whole day pretty much on my own.
I find myself enjoying the paper. Then, there was one particular story that was quite moving.
I can related my life and experiences his.
The story profile was about a Chinese radical artist named Ai Wei Wei. His latest work is the winning design stadium called “Bird’s Nest” for the Beijing Olympics 2008.
According to the story, he lived most of his life in exiles, in desert camp far western China when he was younger and he feed himself with more knowledge in the US.
Much like them outspoken artists, he challenges the government using his thoughts, projects, and soon , his boycott of the opening of 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Though, what was fascinating to me, it was Ai that managed to take pictures of his cat during his interview with the correspodent jounarlist which afterward revealed he posted on his blog.
Yes! This half century man knows how to operate a computer and use a digital camera!
It comes back to me to inspire me about writing and make use of the gizmos available before me since he can, why can’t I.
This is our era, we better make the most of it.
ps. a bit on my uninteresting life during the holidays
